Yes, now to our Dol­lars chat: In the past days our ever-growing com­munity has exper­i­enced a few prob­lems. Two 4chan floods and one Rus­sian flood. While both brought nice people, they also brought trolls and impossib­il­ity to keep up with a chat where 6 people post synchronously.

There­fore people reques­ted for private­ness, pass­words, and it seemed like the whole chat is talk­ing only about that.

I per­son­ally am against using pass­words. That would com­plic­ate a thing that was cre­ated for teh lulz. And so me and Ryan thought of an other solu­tion: chat­rooms. Our Dur­arara chat becomes more and more like IRC, but I tell you this: I don’t care. It’s not IRC and it’s the exact real­isa­tion of the chat showed in the anime until epis­ode 11. So, chat­rooms: Basic­ally, every­body can cre­ate a chat­room (or ‘chan­nel’ if you please) and talk with friends there. Other people won’t see you, you won’t see other people. Flood­ing fuck­ing solved.

Access­ing chat­rooms is easy. This is the basic URL struc­ture: anime2.kokidokom.net/durarara/channel/CHANNELNA...

If you want your chan­nel to be rel­at­ively piv­ate, just don’t throw around the URL/channel name. Handle it like you handle a pass­word. Oh yes, and build Ryan a temple and wor­ship him. He’s the cod­ing god here.
